The math, honestly
With insurance, the PrEP medication itself is required to be covered at no cost — and generics run $20–30/month cash without it. What you're paying for is care: a licensed provider who knows your chart, answers when you message, and keeps your prevention plan current as guidance evolves. At $25/month, that's less than most people spend on streaming — for clinical oversight of the most effective HIV prevention that exists.
| Membership | Typical per-visit telehealth | |
|---|---|---|
| Initial consult | Included | $40–80 |
| Quarterly follow-ups (×4/yr) | Included | $160–320/yr |
| DoxyPEP prescription | Included | $40 per consult |
| Between-visit messaging | Included | Rarely offered |
| Yearly total | $300 | $240–440+, without messaging |
No insurance? Here's your whole year, priced
You're exactly who this membership was designed for. Insured patients can get PrEP care free by mandate; without insurance, the usual alternative is per-visit fees and mystery lab bills. We priced every piece instead:
| What | Cost | How |
|---|---|---|
| All visits & care | $25/month (or $250/yr — under $21/mo) | The membership — consults, follow-ups, DoxyPEP, messaging |
| Quarterly labs | $49 flat per quarter | Ordered through our discounted lab pricing — the price you're told is the price, before anything is drawn |
| PrEP medication | $0–30/month | We enroll you in Gilead's Advancing Access or Ready, Set, PrEP (free), or route you to $20–30 generics |
| DoxyPEP medication | ~$10–15 | Generic doxycycline, multi-dose supply |
Realistic annual total: roughly $500–850, fully protected — visits, testing, and medication included, no surprise bills. And if even that's out of reach right now, tell us at your consult: Florida's county health departments run free PrEP programs, and we'd rather point you to free care than see you unprotected. That's a promise.
Who this is for
Florida and Washington residents who want prevention care from an actual medical practice — The Practice in Jacksonville, veteran-owned, led by Charles Maddix, MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC. You'll always know who your provider is. If you live elsewhere, our get-PrEP-online guide lists services licensed in your state.
A whole practice behind your membership
Your provider isn't a script service — Charles Maddix, MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC, is a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner with full prescriptive authority, leading a complete medical practice. That matters more than it sounds: sexual health rarely lives in a vacuum. If anxiety, depression, or sleep issues surface at a check-in, psychiatric care is right there — same provider, same portal, no cold referral. The same goes for primary care needs, hormone health and TRT, and medical weight loss. Members who need more than prevention never have to start over somewhere else: the clinician who already knows your chart can simply widen the lens.

Fair questions
Can I cancel?
Monthly members: anytime, no fees. Annual members: cancel anytime and we refund the unused months, prorated — you never pay for care you don't receive. Either way, your prescriptions remain valid through their current refills and we'll help you transition care.
Monthly or annual — which should I pick?
Start monthly if we're new to you — no commitment while you see how the care feels. Annual is for members who know they're staying: twelve months for the price of ten ($250 vs $300 — under $21/month), with a prorated refund if life changes.
Is the medication really extra?
The medication is billed to your insurance (usually $0 by law) or bought as a generic ($20–30/month) — we never mark it up, and part of your first visit is finding your cheapest legitimate path, often $0.
What about lab costs?
Quarterly labs are required for safe PrEP care. Insured members: labs are typically covered at $0 like the visits. Cash-pay: we order through labs with transparent pricing and tell you the cost before anything is drawn.
Is this discreet?
Telehealth visits, mail-order pharmacy options, and plain communication. If you use insurance, an explanation of benefits may be sent by your insurer — if that's a concern, ask us about cash options at your consult.
